HYPNOSIS - FAQ

Can anyone be hypnotised?

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind.  We all enter some form of hypnosis several times each day.  Anyone can enter hypnosis very easily providing firstly that they want to be hypnotised (no-one can be hypnotised against their will), and secondly that they have no fears nor misconceptions about hypnosis and how it works.

How do stage hypnotists get people to run around squawking like chickens?

As with all hypnosis, the people must be willing participants.  Some people enjoy having the opportunity of being the centre of attention and will accept suggestions which allow them to shed their inhibitions.  Hypnosis allows them to do what they really want to do.  We all probably know people who would be good subjects for a stage hypnotist...

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

No.  Regardless of how deeply you go into hypnosis, you can always choose to instantly emerge and you will open your eyes and become fully alert.
